5.1.6 Online Admission and Related Activities at DDE (200 words)

In SRM IST, the entire process of admission to DDE programmes has been digitized and carried through online applications. The website provides all the information related to any programme like the courses offered, credits, evaluation methodology and fees. The prospective applicants are directed to visit the admission related information web pages and proceed with application submission by clicking “Apply Now”. The registered candidates are   followed-up to submit the application by uploading eligibility documents, passport size photos and signature of the candidate. The received applications are scrutinized for eligibility verification. The status of selection is updated in candidate portal and communicated through email and messages. The selected candidates can proceed with online payment and download the provisional admission & fee receipt. Once the candidates are provisionally admitted through online, they can proceed with enrolment, access student ERP, ID card information and directed to course registration. As the entire admission process is carried out online, the queries and clarification sought by candidates are communicated using different online sources ranging from query management system, FAQ, email, Whatsapp, SMS, social media, webinar and YouTube videos, in-person counselling through call centre executives and faculty mentors. The process of online admission helps both candidates and admission team to quickly process the information and confirm the admission decision.
