OVERVIEW:

• The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of SRM IST
  has produced outstanding journalists over the years.
•  Our aim is to produce independent and creative journalists who would
  contribute to society by providing the right kind of information to the
  people.
• There are many working people who would like to pursue freelance
  journalism and the ODL programme is aimed at inculcating
  professionalism in them and developed them  as media professionals.
•  Journalism is a passion and can be learnt at any age and the MA (JMC)
  programme through distance education has been designed to suit any age
  group.
