Introduction
Concurrent to achieving the mission of increasing Higher education enrollment and also with improving professional skill among the students, the B.Com (Information System Management) degree program is designed at SRM institute of science and Technology – Distance Directorate. In addition the course aims to provide students with a wide range of managerial skills such as accounting, financial, legal and corporate ethics for building competence in a particular area of business. It imparts candidates with knowledge of accounting principles, export and import laws, economic policies and other aspects which impact trade and business. After completion of the 
programme the B.Com. degree holder is fit to work in any corporate organization or be self- employed thus, the SRM Distance education directorate aims to provide to the B.Com (Information System Management). Information Systems and Management (ISM) programme provides a strong foundation level understanding of the functioning of business organizations, commercial transactions and application of information technology in specialized operations of business such as  accounting, finance, marketing and human resource by offering a comprehensive curriculum. It achieve Institute of Academic Excellence in the field of commerce Discipline specific electives offered in the fifth and the sixth semesters are in the following streams: Human Resource Management, Intellectual Property Rights and E-Governance. Students are required to undertake a micro project during the final semester.
